Cold and Cranky

I'm not being too melodramatic, but I'm pretty sure these were sights seen on Okanagan Lake this morning:

I know polar bears and penguins don't live in the same hemisphere - I'm a Canadian.
But the Okanagan is a world-famous travel destination. They're here for the wine and jet skiing.

It was -18 flippin' degrees this morning when I got up to go to work!

Yes, I KNOW it was colder pretty much everywhere else in Canada, which is why we live in the Southern Interior and not everywhere else in Canada.

In fact, this is an actual picture of a new housing development in Vernon:

I have a date this afternoon with a book, a cozy quilt and hot chocolate with or without medicinal additives. Don't bother knocking on the front door - I'm not home.
